Ascure is proud to announce 3 new colleagues!

Ghent, Belgium,July 1, 2007 - Ascure is a young and dynamic company in search of new people to join our team. Therefore we are proud to announce that during the beginning of this year 3 new colleagues joined our team.

• Peter De Gersem joined the Business Unit – Architectural Services, as a Competence Centre Leader and Principal Consultant, his main focus will be the further expansion of the Ascure Competence Centre on Application Security. Peter is a senior information security specialist with 9 years of experience. Holding a M.Sc. degree from the K.U.Leuven, Peter started his career at Netvision (later known as Ubizen and Cybertrust). The first years of his career he combined network level security implementations with application security middleware consultancy and project management, all focused around Ubizen’s MultiSecure and DMZ/Shield offering. Based on these experiences, Peter further evolved into the business security consultancy direction, with ISO 17799 based risk assessments, CISO advisory, database security, and application security competences. Peter brings a wealth of web (services) application and database security design, organization, and assessment knowledge to Ascure.
• Kris Boulez joined the Business Unit – Operational Services as a Principal Consultant. Kris has a long (15+ years) career in security, system administration and networking positions. Before joining Ascure he held positions at C-CURE and Uniskill. During his career he specialized in computer forensic investigations, penetration testing, security architecture and auditing, incident response and risk assessment projects. Kris has performed security advisory services for critical infrastructures on topics such as incident response processes locally and abroad (Middle East). Kris hopes to assist in the future growth of Ascure and to further develop his skills in a professional environment.
• Maarten Smulders joined the Business Unit – Strategic Services as a Consultant for Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management and Incident Management. He recently graduated as Bachelor of Business Administration in Facility Management, and has worked on several BCM projects in the last two years. Before Ascure, Maarten worked for Getronics PinkRoccade Security & Continuity Services and a health insurance company OZ zorgverzekeringen. He joined Ascure for the large scale of experience in Business Continuity Management, Information Risk Management and Security within the organization.
